Hello folks,
I'm looking at selling a couple of rollers very, very soon.(99 TopKartJEK and 96 Top complete spare roller) Obviously, the rate is going to be different depending on where its going but what about a ballpark figure? Shipping from Portland, OR. Supposing its going mid-west, is $100.00 per roller close on cost? Just a guess....

Thanks!

Shoot, forgot something. Are karts/rollers being shipped strapped to a palet and shrink wrapped up?

A pallet is probably the best way. Cal-kart sells boxes but they are $50 a box. A pallet is a pretyy good way to go.

I think shipping with Bax for a whole kart is about $200ish from west to east coast.

A lot will depend upon your proximity to major airfreight terminals. West coast to CHicago O'Hare was $100...and one day. Getting it from Chicago to Kazoo was another day and from another $50 to $100 for teh trucking.

I looked into this a couple years back but don't have any info on it anymore. I don't remember how FedEx compaired to everyone else but if you want to get a ballpark amount from them go to http://rate.dmz.fedex.com/servlet/RateFinderServlet?orig_country=US&language=english and you can get a good idea.

On a skid is the best way with the shrink wrap. I have sent 2 different karts, 1 from Ohio to FLA. only cost 76.00 and the other one went Kansas City Kansas, still only 76.00 I called Dayton Freight. Hope this helps.

PS: I think I remember Marc telling me that when he had his kart shipped to Portland he pilled on all the spares etc within the kart and ran the all-mighty big roll of shrink wrap around and around and shipped her.
Tiddy indeed. Hehhh....

Depends on the from/to distance. average about $100 to $150. Get a box from your local kart shop. Last time I used a Sodi Kart box, real nice. Tell the shipper it's car body parts. It's the cheapest rate. Get it insured.

Check out www.freightquote.com No obligation freight quotes (go figure ), and you can check options such as loading docks, lift gates, etc.
