Brandon

Both are excellent, proven, competitive products. If everyone else on your team is running CRG and intend to stay with them, I would think the CRG would be a more logical choice. Having the ability to share set-up info, perhaps sharing the suply of spare parts, etc., would make things easier. However, if that is not important, you could probably do as well with either chassis.

I have been faced with the dilema of picking between to different chassis. Right now i run a birel r32 but the rest of my race team runs crg road rebels. Does anyone have any idea which chassis is beter and why?

Dunno, just like it better than my CRG. Better brakes, feels to drive better and just easy to tune.

Billy I may be mistaken but didn’t your 125 have double hubs in the middle of the axel? And Dave stoves kart have a serious problem going fast at Portland with 2 of the best tuners in the business tuning it (bill tally and big mike) also you had inzo in your pit doesn’t it seam without a factory tuner the mmi tent wasn’t so fast in the Redding jiffy cup. I guess what i am getting at is look at the facts. 1999 Trevor McAllister becomes a national hero on trackmagic goes to birel cant hit his *** , just my opinion look at switching the team to trackmagic one axel one steering shaft one set spindles not an arsenal of parts that you need with the birels.

Greg,
No offense intended but Dustin's kart (Birel CR32X)was very good all weekend until I simply screwed him up for the main. We did have some motor problems on Friday. I'm not the best tuner in the world but this chassis is very easy for me to get competitive. I think that at times some will try to make a big deal out of the track conditions and tune themselves away from what might work.

While we have not been on a Track Magic, we have been on several different karts over the past few years and I have to say the Birel is as easy to tune and drive as any we have tried. Anytime we can see a full heat with lap averages within .2 of Scott Speed, I know we are in the ball park.

Of any chassis we have raced my vote would surely have to go with Birel.

Greg,
In my defense…
You really have some kind of nerve to make an assumption like that…if you didn’t know my focus has not really been directed toward racing. I have been trying to build a motor business, as everyone else knows except you, I guess.

As for Leading Edge Motorsports Trackmagic they do have a lot of problems in getting set-up right. If I remember right I have actually helped this team out this year in Norman, as a matter of fact in this help there was an axle change (with a Birel axle).

Birel’s do win and they are the most winning kart in the World hands down.

Thanks,
T-Mac

P.S.
Greg you need to quit using me as an example in this area…and by the way I would like to get my MOMO trophy that I let you showcase for the rest of 99’ like we agreed.
Please send it to me ASAP.

Greg and Trevor,

I have a healthy dose of respect for both of you. However, I would request that if there are any personal matters that need to be resolved between you guys, to kindly do it outside of these forums, either via email or the phone. Chances are, you guys have already done just that.

I'm sure you both can understand why I make this request.

Thanks.

Must be cause I'm new, but I thought there was more to it than a chassis. Silly me...... ;-)

Using the PMT points to determine chassis superiority is an interesting concept. Let's do it using Super Pro.

With three Birel drivers in the top ten in Super Pro, (most of any chassis, BTW) the average finish is only an 8th (7.9 to be exact) The funny thing is the single Trackmagic driver has a average of a 7.5 place finish.

Hmmmmm.

Dave
