Hi all,
I wanted to inform everyone about a friend of mine that has just introduced a very cool service. Jim Rice, of Foot Depot (formerly Sole Performance), is now making custom, cnc cut, inner soles. To get the total skinny, you will need to contact him directly or by e-mail. He actually takes a cad/cam drawing of the bottom of your foot, feeding the information into his computer, which in turn, cuts a perfectly matched 3 dimensional sole to your foot. End result, total feel on the pedals! There are no voids between the bottom of your foot and the inner sole of the shoe. If you are lucky enough to live in San Diego County (Encinitas), you can just drive over and see him. If not, he has special mail service available. For those who do not know Jim, he is responsible for doing all of the "custom" shoe changes for No Fear's "Driving Force" pro drivers. I have seen him working on shoes and gloves for Andretti, and Jean Alesi, just to name a couple. In addition, he is used religiously by some of the top triatheltes in the world. The service is not expensive, and just might be the advantage you've been looking for. Randolph is using it and absolutley loves the way it feels. Jim also applies new soles to shoes, which might save you a hundred or so when it's time for new driving shoes. You can contact Jim Rice at Shoeguy.com, or give him a call at Foot Depot (Sole Performance), 800-944-2755.

Thats terrific! Just when I was running out of things to spend money on.
Pardon the sarcasm, actually sounds like a good idea. I guess we will just have to continue to rely on the old PF Flyers... |

So, Larry, good to see that you have escaped the Palomar Towers Resort...but tell me, how does this "mail order" thing work...my feet won't fit in an envelope!

| Sorry guys, but this here falls into the category of pretty blatant advertising. I'll leave it on the forum, but it's getting locked down. THe info is there, so any body can contact the party directly. |
