Im getting ready to go to St. Louis. And I was wondering On a TM38mm Mikuni Carb...Which slot on the Pin should the clip be??? Im in the Middle and it seems to still dump too much fuel in...But I am told I should run it at least 1/2 way or more open...Due to the Full throttle racing.

Does it make a difference Sprint to Long track...

Thanks

DN

Check out Eric Gorr Website It has lots of useful information on tuning a carbeurator.

Click 2cycle Technology then scroll down.

Carbs are generally tuned for the weather and yes also from a Sprint Track to a Road Track. YOu might be a little richer on a Road Course since you are at higher rpms for greater lengths.

Dale-

Call T-Mac, Trevor McAlister... he uses the TMX Mikuni a lot and also has experience with this carb on his TM as well.

His number is 214-755-3477. He also runs some long track racing too, so he should know what setting you need to start with.

MM

ps- see ya at Gateway
