yeah I could see the danger in allowing pictures to be posted, although it WOULD be a nice feature.

Perhaps when there are more moderators.

Great photo.... I agree, the photo function would be sweet... maybe there will be a way in the future to post photos sometime..with permission or on tech forum? It would be work to govern.

In my opinion, you should allow photos, just limit the attachment size to something reasonable....like 100k or something. Many other forums in other worlds use this feature with no problem. For example, I know the Toyota MR2 discussion forum does it. And I think they use the same message board software as this. If there's ever a problem, the moderator can decide to delete a particular image. I find it very useful, particularly when trying to discuss some technical problem or detail, to snap a quick digital pic and upload it. A pic is worth 1000 words....

This will make the moderator’s job a bit harder….well, a lot harder. I have seen the lines of what is appropriate get bent big time. I say keep them about karting and keep the file size small.
Also sometimes if the picture is too large it will screw up the text field.
If pics are going to be allowed, then I suggest a “test form” for people trying to figure out how to post pictures and links, etc.

Sorry to rain on the parade, but posting photos will not be allowed - too many issues: bandwidth, load time, and the most important, objectionable pieces.

Maybe Glen or Jeff would allow a special forum group that is for karting pictures. The only issue there is does ekartingnews servers have enough disk space?
