| There was alot of rain events in 05 and I went through a 2 sets of rain tires. One set of bridgestones and one set of MG. I want to try something new for the beginning of the season. What are some opinions on the best rain tire for solo. I like the MG alot more than the bridgestone but I wonder if there is something better out there. |

i was told the new bridgestone design is the best in performance. idk about endurance of wear, but i was told with them on the kart, its like driving in the dry. _________________ "I am not afraid, I was born to do this."

I won a KART RR National on a set of borrowed Dunlops in a heavy down pour at Hallett.
Bought myself a set right after that.

| I've had good results with the B/S YHPs. YMMV. |

The thing about solo that i'm considering is you never race in a downpoor. Usually when it's raining that hard the timing lights are having problems and the event is delayed, or there is lightning and the event is delated. So
I guess I'm trying to figure out what the best intermediate tire is. I think I'm gonna try the dunlops next. |

Then you weren't at Nationals on Thursday this year, were you? Downpour for the whole heat.

Nationals '03 also. We ran through puddles 4" deep. Yes, it did suck royally. Also, even though I wasn't there, the San Diego tour either that year or the next had karts go through a 5" deep river going crossways to the course. Randy Chase has a pic of him with water most of the way up his sidepods. |

Ok I shouldn't have said never. But most of the time it is intermediate wetness. I do think the bridgestones are the best for forging a river but they seem to drop over a bit when things start drying a little. |
