Is there something that can be done to the power valve of a CR 125 to improve engine performance?
Someone told me to eliminate it, this can't be right?

Pat...The great majority of CR125's have removed the power valve and installed plugs.
At the RPM shifter karts run, you are above the range of the power valve therefore they are ineffective and are removed. They just aren't needed and you don't have to worry about them sticking.
Plugs are available from several sources and are installed and contoured to your port shape. Typically the power valve shaft and all associated linkage and gears are also removed when the plugs are installed. You also have to make or buy a plug for the case where the power valve shaft originally came through. If you need help or more info please send me an email.. |
