I just received a rs intake for my cr 125. The kickstart bump has been modified, but not enough material has been taken off. The carb hits the case and it will not mount straight up and down. I have to "clock" the carb to the 1:00 oclock position to get it in the boot, and I cant imagine that this would be okay. Do any of you know of a intake boot that has less of a bend in it than the stock one, but is not perfectly straight either? I'm kinda stuck since I just had the motor rebuilt and dont want to do that again for a while. Should I just use the stock one? I just put on the v-force reed cage, how much difference will the straight intake make over the bent one?
Thanks

If your carb is a PWM you can machine off the power jet extension on the right side. This might give you enough clearance. If not, there is a RS intake that has a slight bend to it which should work. I am not sure which year intake it is. Call JR @ Power Source and he should be able to help you.

Tim-
Thanks, I have a mikuni and it has a lip that help seal the bowl to the carb, it goes all the way around the body of the carb and I think it needs that to seal the thing up. Even if I ground that up, I dont think it would be a ideal fit. I will call JR, I order most of my stuff from Bonnier so maybe he can get the same piece. Thanks a bunch.

I think the '94 RS boot is the one with the slight bend.
