| Digatron is a company whose time has come...and gone. They have been completely blown out of the water by the Mychron products. My last straw from them was a DT32 with all the bells and whistles that never worked properly even thought it was sent back and 'fixed'. My Mychron 2 has given me 2 years of great service. |

What other systems are out there?
Mychron, PI and Alfano are all used with karts.
What systems are most people using?
We have been extremely happy with the MYCHRON 2 and I recommend it to anybody as the best price/performance product in karting. In SKUSA, we saw roughly 80% or more using some form of MYCHRON.
Why?
Reliable, inexpensive, extensive support at track or from AIM, almost free downloading (just the $40 pen), software is free, always a beacon. Includes the essential data of lap time, lap count, RPM over the entire session, MPH over the entire session, peak CHT/EGT or water temp for each lap, Back light available.
Can you add additional functions?
Can have two analog temp inputs, your choice.
upgrades to Mychron PRO which adds accelerometer
Down loading abilities?
You can playback all data on the display immediately. You can download to laptop or even at home via IR pen. It remembers all data until you clear it, even when powered down or battery changed.
Do I need specific systems for 2stroke and a separate system for 4stroke?
Same system Works for both 2cy and 4cy. We are even using it on a 4 cylinder FF2000.
We are running the Manufactures cup and Great Lakes Sprint Series next year in addition to our club points races.
Extremely valuable tool if you travel. You can get your gearing correct as soon as your driver gets the track down. |

Bob, where would one buy this new Digatron you keep talking about? Their website hasnt been updated for quite some time and I cant find anyone who sells the new gauge?
Oh yeah and please let me know when one of the Digatron reps will be at the next dirt national for assistance, seems like every race I have been to this year my Digatron has given me problems and there is not anyone from Digatron there for support.

| The best single thing I EVER bought for my son, Paulie's, karts was the My-Chron 2 systems. They not only helped me with gear and set-up, they helped my son become a better driver by letting him see his lap times immediately so he could find the best line on his own. They are very reliable and if I had a problem Aim Sportsystems fixed it no charge. Plus they send a represetative, Mike McKnight, to all the National races to help you. It was the best money I ever spent. |

We are in the process of getting ready for the 02 season and want to upgrade our data gathering abilities. One son runs 2 stroke and the other runs 4 stroke currently we have a digitron tach & cht on each. What other systems are out there? What systems are most people using? Why? Can you add additional functions? Down loading abilities? Do I need specfic systems for 2stroke and a seperate system for 4stroke? We are running the Manufacters cup and Great Lakes Sprint Series next year in addition to our club points races.
Thanks,
Mark |
