| Wait a minute, what about good ol' Hollis Brown. Talk about carrying a big stick! That guy can run a race. It's too bad he that he and his wife bought the track in Las Vegas. Before that, he was running the little show called "Tustin Thunder". He did a wonderful job with those events. Although there was that little incident with Randolph ripping up the parking lot with Patrick Long's 80 shifter...never mind. I would say that Hollis has done more than his fair share over the years. And look what he has done in Las Vegas! |

TOM ARGY !!!! We went out to the IKF Grand Nationals at Santa Maria in July and we were VERY, VERY IMPRESSED with the job Tom Argy did as race director. He was very fair, helpful, and VERY RACER FRIENDLY, which is the most important thing to me. Tom gets my vote as the BEST RACE DIRECTOR. Bingo Emmons of WKA has also been doing a great job at the WKA Mfg. Cup races. If IKF and WKA EVER have a True National Championship races, Tom and Bingo working together would make a great team as Co-race directors.

Race Director is a thankless job. You must be fair firm, consistant and listen to reason. Craig DeMaio at Oakland Valley Race Park gets my vote as the best race director I have raced under. He displays all of the qualities that I listed above. Of course he is not perfect but then again is anyone? I am surpised that WKA or SKUSA hasn't brought him on for the national races. Thank you for your time.

Of the race directors who have officiated where we have been it would be a toss up between Hollis Brown and Tom Argy. Both are very good, fair, and will admit a mistake when one is made.
My hat is off to all of them though as it is a thankless job.

| I don't know if it is my biased opinion because he runs our race every year at the Rock Island Grand Prix, but I vote for Tom Argy, jr. |
