Andy,
Dad wanted me to let you know that we do in fact have a spare motor available for use at the first barber race. I believe you saw it at Laguna. Of course, it needs just a couple of parts. Care to fix it? BTW, you've got us all confused on what the heck your running, so it will be cool to see your kart there. Later

Reggie & Andy,
I have a good set up 1999 and back race kit spec pipes for TZ. Hand made specials, I can fix you up with a good price!

1st.
2 stroke deisels. Detriot made them 8v71, 653, 6v92 silver edition pass emissions of the time. All made great HP. The engine is no longer made. It has been repalced with the series 60 engine 4 stroke, also made by detroit deisel.

Andy I shot that bird
I do know 2 guys that are getting the Gas Gas engine. And I will be putting it on my dyno. I will let everyone know what it made on my dyno.
What do you guys think if there was a dyno at the track to put the karts on AFTER the race just off the track? Would that answer some questions?
Or would it be a waste of time?
This message is for Ted. Ih det sjut nwatde to sya ih.
Can anyone figure out what I said? Off season is great.
Just having a little fun with you, Ted Love ya pal. _________________ Johnny West/West Racing |

..2 stroke diesels are very common in industrial applications.
Many "small"countries use 2 stroke diesel powered power generators, and most large ships use 2 stroke diesels for propulsion.
In many ways this is the engine of the future.
the worlds most powerful piston engines are 2 stroke marine diesels of 25 -30,000 hp.
One of the most impressive 2 stroke diesels is the Napier "Deltic" .. a 18 cylinder , 36 piston design used in fast patrol boats and trains .

Chris,
The spare engine is a BRC. Those yamahas are just too confusing for me to look at, give me a headache! I give credit to anbody who can run and tune one.
Johnny,
I think a dyno run after the race would be pretty cool. Maybe it would show some people that the kart has to handle as well as make power.
PS, anyone know how the wka race went at robeling the past weekend?

Johnny, I think the dyno would be a good idea especially if somebody is having engine trouble. The only downside I see is that I don't you want officials to see how much power all these engines really make... Might be bad for the sport on the whole..

MAN, that engine is amazing.
Do they make a programable ignition for it?(I know it doesn't use spark ignition, but since were joking) I Could use a little more power, JOhnny Blow had a fancy sticker on his last weekend and it was killing on the straight. Said his builder got 2 more hp. MAn thats like a .00001 percent increase. Also, FYI gearing this thing is easy, it pulls everything.
Thanks,
