The forecast has changed several time today and it will change again and again. Saturday has been forecasted from sunny to rainy today. _________________ John Kuntze

| I have raced at Fontana twice now and the concrete really does not appear to be a problem. The 250's are cornering far below their potential on the oval and there is a lot of runoff area in most of the corners. I really do not see a danger but this is a personal opinion. I think it will be fun if part of the racing is in the rain. John Rounds ICE |

Racing at Fontana is always fun and exciting, very wide and pleanty of space, never have to drive too close to the walls. But we haven't raced there yet in the rain so nobody really knows the track condition. Don't forget with all the rain we have had all the rubber that was laid down is gone and the surface is green...Spinning out in the dry is usually no problem but in the wet????
Hopefully it doesn't rain..
BTW Is the gearing for the infield section(if it rains) the same as the full track configuration???
Thanks, RR |

| Gear it for about 120 to 125 mph for ICE. I saw 126 mph on the mychron entering turn 1 last year. John Rounds |
