The 250 Twin is a Local Option At Daytona.
What are the rules for body work Do I have to Have a rear wing?

Randee,
just bring your laydown with or without the wing. It does not meet FE rules anyway. So even if you do well with it it's still only good for the local option class. That's why I did not build my laydown. Still looking forward to the race. Should be intresting anyway. Best time last year was 156.3
Good Luck, I hope to have a good run with you. Bring all the guns no excuses. Very Happy

Hey Randee,
The more feathers on that chicken wing, the better it works.
Don't forget to mount it upside down, otherwise your kart might take flight.

Good Luck to you and Johnny.
Have Fun!!

Will I be ok with out a rear wing?
I have a PVP chassie, with a laydown seat, Enduro body work.
If I need a rear wing I will put one on.
Whats the deal?
I don't want to get bounced at post race tech.
I think it would be a danger of flipping at speed with out a front wing.
The Enduro nose don't make down force.

Randee, both set of rules have a wing assembly. Look at the gibson chassis laydown it has a rear wing. the FE states rear wing and give the height and width. Personally I would play it safe and run the wing. I will be on the road tomarrow for the race. I can't wait either Very Happy

RJ,

Shawn ran the Anderson with and without the wing assembly at Daytona. No wing = More top speed and very unstable.

He ran the wing in the race. He also won the class that year.

You do NOT need to run a rear wing.
