Hey guys...
I've just finished setting up in the media room here at Laguna and we'll be posting times and updates throughout the weekend via the homepage of EKN. If you have any more targeted questions, post them here and I'll see what I can get from my trips down to the paddock.
I did run into Johnny West when I cruised through the paddock en route to the media tower on the hill. Johnny blew up his motor in the first practice session, sticking the front cylinder. He found a pinppoint leak in the fuel line.
I'm hearing that Lawson is the quickest with Martin and Dyer right there in Riley Will's BRC entries.
I'll have a better handle on things once they get some timing issues handled...alot of guys still don't realize that the transponders don't work through carbon fiber.
Later,

| IS Owens there to defend his title? If so, how's his times? WHat about Payart? How's the overall International representation? |

Scotty's report was a second blow-up in qualifying for Johnny, he jumped in the spare and went back out without ever setting tire pressures and got 19th. Quite a way off pole but if anyone can come back it's Johnny Super Kart!!!! Jerry Echols was a bit quicker, it seems like his Laguna "curse" has ended but the West Racing team just keeps getting bit out there.
Now I know why John vacations BEFORE Laguna!!! Hang in there Johnny!

Here's a quick update.
Martin walked away with the FE win after Lawson dropped out. Dyer chased him for a while until he went off at the Corkscrew and eventually retired.
Andy Kiker won the ICE race but Anthony Williams had it in hand before he dropped out. Not sure what happened to him.
I'll post a report tomorrow.

Congrats to the BRC group but how about that Andy Kiker, awesome job Andy. To win Road Atlanta, Road America, and Laguna in the same year is a great feat. _________________ David Cole

RH, I hope you do a BIG write-up on this event in SKI (with a bunch of photos of course). These are the types of events which can actually grow kart racing. Far better then the STARS/SKUSA deals.
Way to go Andy!
Have a good day.
