I’ve been on the road quite a bit in the last month, and in that time I haven’t had the internet access to closely monitor what happens here on these forums. Still, while on my travels, I’ve seen folks stretching the limits of decorum and civility, and now that I am home and really keeping an eye on things, I must say, I am not impressed.

Let me say this…

If you are coming here to bash an individual, go someplace else.

If you are coming here to bash an organization, go someplace else.

You may tactfully and maturely make critical posts of whatever topic you wish, but emotional posts that are flaming rants will not be tolerated. Blatant negativity and obvious bias combined with flippancy, which is the festering sore of karting, well, we’ve had enough of it.

When forums like these provide constructive criticism and open-minded debate, or helpful information to the inquisitive, then we are proud to be a part of this community. But when I read the type of closed minded, one sided rhetoric that makes us all look like a bunch of squabbling kindergartners, I am ashamed to be part of the neighborhood.

Consider yourself warned. The deletions start today, and the bannings will start tomorrow. Two threads were deleted today; we invite everyone to contribute to the reposted topic originally started by Rick Senechal in News/General Discussion entitled “CART and kart together?”

I will alienate some people with these actions. I accept that, but if you’re going to lodge a complaint with Star Command (reference: Toy Story), email me personally at jeff@ekartingnews.com, or start a new thread down in the EKN Feedback section.
