Well, I want to run with the TAG boys, and so I need to get the download. I want to run a CRG, but was hoping to get a ballpark on how much I should be looking forward to shelling out? Of course there is going to be the ultimate question of "money=speed" yadayadyada, but seriously, what kind of price range should I be looking at? I have yet to find a person selling a CRG TAG, but maybe I can get some direction from you guys? Let me know what you think. Thanks.

From the "Jacksonville TAG" thread:-

Saturday
Masters

1st Easy Kart
2nd Intrepid/Leopard
3rd Intrepid/Leopard

Sunday

1st Easy Kart
2nd Intrepid/Leopard

And from:- http://www.easykart.com/125.html
$3995. complete! or $1700 for the motor only.

Also from the website.

Spare Motors (Sold only to Easykart Members)

Easykart 100cc - $1714.00

I believe that you need to own one to be able to purchase a back up engine.

Chris -

If you want to get everything brand new, you can figure on ~2200-2500 for the chassis (although I am seeing some of the Italian 100cc/TAG chassis are going up to 3100, probably due to the exchange rate), 2200-2300 for the TAG motor (Leopard least expensive, Sonic more expensive), and another 500-800 for other necessary stuff (data aquision, special tools, stand, tires, etc.). I could easily see getting above $6K with tax.

OTOH, as others have mentioned, I've seen (and been beaten by) the Easykart package - and for $4K, it looks very interesting. You are limited to running TAG-USA-type rules, so make sure that the club you want to run with is familiar with the latest rule updates. FWIW, my initial impression is that the Easykart may be a great package for a new karter to start out with - if you lose interest, you're not out quite as much money, and it you want to stay with the TAG class then you will already have a competitive package. Air cooled is also a mechanically simpler package, which is always a plus for new guys.

Hey,

Thanks for the responses, and the pm's. I am not too familiaar with "Easy Kart"? I guess I should be though. It seems as if everyone else is. Who is a good source? I am sure that I am going gor the CRG package, but it would definitely be nice to be educated on easy kart. The best price for a new CRG roller that I have been offered is $3800...Most of you are saying that I can get one for less than that. What gives? I guess it is back to the old saying, "It's not what you know, but who you know." Thanks again for the response.

Doug, 3800$ for a new CRG is the top of the line road rebel chassis which you don't need to be competative and especially since your new to karting. You can buy a new kali CRG for around 2400$.Don't know where you live in cal.,but give NASH'S kart shop a call and talk to Seth.

Yeah, give Terry or Seth Nash at Nash's Karts a ring, they have a 2004 Kali kart with a Parilla Leopard 125cc right now for an inexpensive price.

Terry told me himself about 2 months ago that this kart has very little time on it and looks real nice.

Nash's Karts is an awesome shop to purchase from, I recommend them Wink
