Was wondering if anyone had some info one the upcoming race next weekend? I am looking for class structure, schedule, tires run in the HPV class, entry form anywhere? Also wondering how the turnouts in HPV are and what tires they run in that class? Thanks in advance.

David, at last weekend's Prairie City race there were 5 HPV's entered. They were running YGK's.
You can call Bill Pinzini at Norcal Kartsport at 530-676-2424 for all the information you will need re: the HPV class at Prairie City.

Sorry David things have been really busy about, Jerry has been really busy, but him more so than the normal folk. The Emmick Classic will have Two 50 Lap races one for Super Box , Two Drivers , with a mandatory driver change, and also an 80cc portion same format. NO PI on the 80 + the 10 other classes. It is our fault for not getting all of the info out in a timely fashion, but this is the first time this event is back ( Emmick Classic) in about two years and the first time we are hosting it. From My talk with Bill Pinzinni last week the conversation arose about him contacting Mr. Motley to let him know. As soon as I get some preliminary info I will Post it.

OK I have the Info, there is going to be a dual format with the Sprint races during the first part of the day, with the Classic races to take place immediately following the Sprint portion.

Classes
1.Kiddie Kart YHC/YGC
2.Jr.1 2 cycle @ 225
3.Briggs Super jr.1 @250
4.Briggs Jr II Superstock @ 300
5.Jr. Sportsman Yamaha @ 280
6.KT-100 @ 340
7.Novice Sportsman @330
8.Super Sports Lt. @ 330
9.Super Sports Hvy @ 370
10.Formula 80 Masters @ 375 age.38-up
11.80 cc Novice @ 360
12.HPV 2/3/4 @ 320/340/370 YGK Tires
13. Nor Cal pro 80- Class is on a probation for the series only needs to have 7 karts to qualify for series points
All other classes will run B-stone YDS @ min durometer reading of 56.
Entry fees are $40.00 per class
Kiddie Karts are $20.00 entry fee

Emmick Classic Portion:
Super Sportsman class combined weight min of 550 for both drivers and kart with all gear

80 shifter portion @ 575 for both drivers and kart also.
I beleive entry fee is 75$ per team.
Cash purse to be determined by number of entries.

Darin, I am not doubting the quality of your information, but wondering how logistically this can be pulled off??? I was at the last club race and it seemed that all the sprint heats and main's took up the hole day, so I am puzzled how they will have time to add 2 more long races. Can you shed some light on this?

Well Considering we were two People short in getting things done. And we also added more laps to the race's than we should have.
Long pit meeting that was necessary. It did affect us, and man where we Kicking ourselves in the rear End for it.

It may be a long day, but I am almost positive we will pull it off.
If the Classic is succesful we may even roll it into an event of it's own and grow it next season. Call it a grand experiment.

Thanks for the information. I will see anyone who is going up there Saturday morning. I will be practicing all day long trying to get around that track I have never been to with tires I have never run. It should be fun weekend. See ya there!

hey darin, I hope you did not misinterpret my post as being critical of the last club race. quite the contrary, I thought it was well run and the races seemed to run back to back. all i was trying to confirm was the classic race was after the sprint races, which it appears they are. thanks.

No Justin Not at all, no offense taken. I appreciate any feed back whatsoever good or bad. Yours was not interpreted as negative in any way. I always try to make what we do better and faster. We run a very tight ship (dictatorship), yet we know we have to satisfy you the customer (racer).

Hey David if you rad this make sure you stop and say HI!. If you need some help working the lines probably the best guy that you should listen to is Pinzinni or if you want other direction just see me, as the YGK, it is very close in grip to the YGC. Bill can fill you in on the test we ran with those tires heads up against each other.

I just wanted to say Thanks to all the poeple who put on this race, it was well run and everyone was really nice. I am looking forward to the next race for sure. Only if they had more classes on the YGK tires. They are a really good tire and YDS's are just way to hard. Thanks again.
