Has anyone seen a "Flex-T" type needle for the Tillotson carb? This would replace the low needle (and allows adjustment while driving).

[Just a die-hard ex-HPV driver who insists on changing carb settings while driving...]

if its for the Leopard it won't be leagal unless it comes already installed by IAME. The rules say no adding or removal of material and must be of original manufacture. A lot of people in NorCal had to cut off the washer that we brazed onto the low speed needle.

You can still tune, it's just a little difficult at first to find the needle and get a feel for how much. I sat in the kart with no gloves at first just to find the needles, then started practicing while sitting still. Then still in the garage with gloves. By the time I tried at the track it wasn't automatic, but I was able to find the needles.

No reflection on you Patrick, but isnt that a classic example of a badly applied rule ?
Its that sort of petty restriction - (and potential safety issue ?) that frustrates people. Crying or Very sad
