Mike, I'm sure WKA,IKF,and SKUSA could supply you with age and geographic location, years karting, etc. As for income they probably can't help. I know I spend alot See Ya, Greg

If memory serves me, www.e-kmi.com had a large section on demographics a while back. You might want to check them out.

Hi Mike, I tried getting that answer about a year ago, found it to be somewhat of an elusive answer, numbers varied allot depending on who or where you asked. Darrel over at KMI has or had some stats on his site, I believe these came from questions asked on Petes page or the mailing list years ago. Bob E. has a poll on the upper left corner on 4 cy.co. I also tried to track the entries at National and regional events, while these numbers are fairly easy to get, they only represent the more serious, WKA racers, harder to take in to account are the growing number of independant assc. like IRA, BNSS, FKA, ect, or the very large number of people down south who just race the big money races and don't chase any series or points. To me the hardest group to estamate are the local or club racers, and I believe these by far are the largest group of racers. Here, our track (Badger Dousman Wi) is the largest and most well known in Wi., even with our bi-week program we avg. 170-180 per week but add up all the smaller ind. tracks here, and their entries combined are far greater than ours. From those that I talked to, most are not members of any sanchioning body, nor does there seem to be many of them active on these forums. I have know idea how to calculate the number of these racers, but do feel they would turn out to be the majority. If you have any luck geting any numbers, please post them, I think it would be very interesting to get a acturate count. Bob

Go to: norcal-karting.com and look in the resources section fo Brendal Racing. Juergen did quite a few surveys that were used to create some karting demographics.
