Someone gave me a good set of tires except that they were removed from the wheels with a screw driver. The bead is kind'a chewed up a little. I can't get them to bead because they leak too much and, if I get them to bead I'm afraid they won't hold air very long. Is there a fix for this? It seems a shame to toss them?

I had some tires like that, I got a can of brush on bead sealer like the tire stores use and it worked fine. I think I got it at NAPA.

You can also use a bead of silicon caulk around the wheel/tire.... Put on the caulk and air tire till it beads(without the valve stem) then let dry and go racing.....
