What are my options for brake line plumbing?

and is there a preferred product or competitive advantage with a certain kind?

Thanks,

Rob Hogenmiller

Go for the line that offers the lowest expansion rate under pressure.

I allways had good luck with industrial Poly-flo tubing components, the hard tubing 1/4",(cause that's what they stocked at work) matched fittings 450lb. p.s.i. rated. the only thing to remember is to use the correct ferrules, there are several diff.types.

Good morning Mr. Rob,

Heres' my experience and observation regarding brake lines. Actually, as far as the lines go, I've not seen an issue or performance difference. I would suspect any high quality product will be fine.

I do have 2 experiences where the fittings have failed. In both cases the fittings were the same type, with the ferrel not permanently attached to the end of the line. It was the slip fit compression type. What I've seen is either the line comes out, or the fitting cracks. Either way, your into the hay bales, mowing the lawn or rearranging the barrier.

Be safe, have fun,

Gary K.
