| January’s Suggest a Caption Contest Presented by Zoombang |

In looking at the postings to our past two Suggest a Caption contests, it is quite apparent that they have become a big success with the viewers. As a result, the EKN staff here has decided to kick up the program for 2007 with the regular addition of some prizes. This month, Zoombang Protective Gear has stepped in to be the presenting sponsor for the program.
Zoombang Protective Gear (www.zoombang.com) has already made a big impact during their short time in the karting industry. At the beginning of the 2006 season, Zoombang introduced their product line, which was focused at the karting industry. Using their unique energy-dissipating material called reAsorb™ inside their protective pads, Zoombang developed three sets of seat pads, as well as the now-popular rib pad shirt. The rib pad shirt features the special protective pads around the rib area to help protect the driver in the seat. The seat pads offer more protection for the drivers at the hip, back and rib positions and give the kart a cleaner look then the ‘rag and tape’ method that many have used in the past.

Many drivers tried the Zoombang products throughout the 2006 season and they brought high praises, including two-time Rock Island Grand Prix ‘King of the Streets’ winner Kyle Wiegand, Stars of Karting ICA National Champion Joel Miller, ICC standouts David Jurca and Stuart Marsell and many more.
This month’s Suggest a Caption contest winner will receive the Zoombang rib pad shirt, along with the three sets of Zoombang seat pads.
So, let’s get at it. With many of the top photographers making the trek to the November Superkarts! USA SuperNationals X, the staff at EKN had a plethora of photos to choose from the historic event. Longtime SKI contributer Jeff Deskins of Shiftsport Imagery joined the EKN staff for the weekend. He was able to capture the following shot of SKUSA Marketing stud Jim Baltutis schmoozing with the Hooters girls in Las Vegas is certainly worthy of some creative captioning.
