The official winners of the AMD/Marin Karting Rotax airfare to the Nationals prizes for 2006 are Gregory Liefooghe and Jay Brosius. Each driver completed the minimum required 4 races in the AMD/Marin Karting Rotax series held at Infineon Raceway and also qualified as the top Norcal drivers, by finishing in the top 15 at the recently held Rotax Grand Regional event. Each driver receives free round-trip airfare to the Rotax Nationals being held at the Motorplex at Road America, September 22nd – 23rd as part of Champ Car's historic return to Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.

Gregory will compete in the Rotax Senior class and Jay will compete in the Rotax Masters class. There are several other AMD/Marin Karting Rotax series drivers competing in all classes including the Rotax DD2 two speed shifter class. All competitors are racing for a chance to participate in the Rotax World Finals being held at Viana do Castelo, Portugal, November 14-18, 2006.
