| WKA Road Racing Not Returning to Daytona for ’07 Season |

A major change has occurred for 2007’s Dunlop Tire Road Race schedule. The traditional December Daytona KartWeek event that has started the Road Race season for many years will not be on the schedule.
After many meetings with the Speedway, it came to the unfortunate conclusion that holding a Road Race event at Daytona International Speedway is not currently a viable option for both the Speedway and WKA.
The 2007 Dunlop Tire National Road Racing Series will begin its 8-race season at Roebling Road Raceway in Pooler (Savannah), GA February 2 - 4, 2007. In addition, the 2006 NRRS Year-End Banquet is tentatively scheduled for Saturday night in the Pooler/Savannah area. Other host clubs are currently finalizing their dates for 2007 and WKA hopes to have a confirmed schedule announced in the next 30-60 days.
Also, the 2007 class structure was released with a few changes, including the combination of Moto and ICC engines in the 125cc Sprint Shifter division with a Lite and Heavy class as well as the Briggs Raptor engine being shuffled out for the Briggs Animal engine in all Briggs classes.
