Jurca completes ICA sweep, loses ICC on technical DQ
Arriving at the CARTBC facility for the morning, the first bit of news was the final outcome of Saturday’s ICA Final. After an exhaustive investigation, Stars Race Director Kevin Williams was unable to say whether Jurca did indeed jump the start of the previous day’s Final. Between Glover dropping out before the start, and another competitor waiving drivers past before the green flag, the evidence was inconclusive so the results stood.

Controversy and tech issues filled the first day of racing action and as of right now, the official ICA results have yet to be posted.

Rains falls all day in BC giving Stars drivers a chance to test wet set-ups

By moving this race from the end of the season forward, Stars officials were hoping to draw a greater attendance that they had seen in the past. That seems to have taken root as approximately 95 entries are on hand this weekend, an increase over last year’s race.

This will be the third year the series has headed to the track, located about 90 minutes east of Vancouver. In the past, CARTBC was final stop of the divisional schedule and as a result, attendance suffered greatly. Last year, only a handful of entries were on hand for the race.
