CASCAR Teams to Race for Kids
The CASCAR community will get its Molson Indy week to an early start next week with the running of the Carhartt 150 “Racing for Kids” Charity go-kart race at Formula Kartways on July 6. The event will start at 6:00 pm.
Team RaceSportz along with Formula Kartways will host the 1-hour endurance race that will consist of 16, four-driver teams.
The event will also feature a selection of guest professional drivers from the CASCAR National Super Series who will be competing at the 2005 Toronto Molson Indy, including last year’s “top rookie” at the Toronto Molson Indy and driver of the Carhartt #8, Marc Miller.
“This event is something that I have personally been looking forward to all year,” said Miller. “I am proud to be able to participate and we are looking forward to being able to hand over a big check to the President’s Choice Children’s Charity. I will personally thank everyone involved.”
In addition, there will also be a silent auction with all kinds of great items that may be bid on with monies raised from the event to go to the President’s Choice Children’s Charity.
The President's Choice Children's Charity is dedicated to helping children who are physically or developmentally challenged. Families who have children born with disabilities like Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, to name a few, come to us for help. They work directly with the families that contact us to provide direct financial assistance in the purchase of expensive mobility equipment, environmental modifications, physical therapy and more. The goal is to try and remove some of the obstacles that make everyday living extremely difficult for these children.

WKA's Pit Board
Spec Tire Update
The Dunlop DC-M tire is not available to the general karting public 60 days from the Manufacturer's Cup event at South Bend, therefore the Dunlop DB-M tire will be allowed which will replace the Dunlop DB-S tire. Also, the Bridgestone YHB (USA) tire is no longer available, so the YJB (USA) tire will be allowed as well in the ICC and ICA classes in the Manufacturer's Cup Series.
These shortages are due to the CIK tire homologating process being completed and the new compounds are replacing the old. We sincerely apologize for the confusion and inconvenience this may have caused and hope to see you in South Bend on July 15 - 17, 2005.
