Series News: Rotax Max Challenge - Regions Cup
Note: The following is a press release sent out by the Rotax Max Challenge on the rules competitors will follow for the Regions Cup events

Each competitor will purchase four tires, five gallons of fuel and one liter of oil for the event, in addition to the entry fee. Tires will be marked with competitor's class and kart #. These are the only tires allowed from qualifying on. When coming to qualify, the tires must be in new condition with molding nibs present in full. Tires may be replaced only in the case of damage to a max of two replacements, one front and one rear, with used stock of proper compound presented by the competitor. Used tire to be inspected and marked with number and class. Damaged tire must be presented to Head of Tech and changed in Parc Ferme after approval. Damaged tire will then be impounded until the conclusion of the event.

Rain tires for these events will be of three separate compounds from Bridgestone. The traditional YGR or the CIK rain compounds, YHP and YJP are all legal rain compounds for 2005 Regions Cup events. For Regions Cup only, rain tires may be used tires. For the Grand National, it will be new YJP only. You are encouraged to avail your stock in preparation for this.

Only fuel will be under Parc Ferme control for 2005 Rotax Max Regions Cup events. Competitor will present fuel tank and fuel jug to Parc Ferme and these will remain there until conclusion of the event. Official fuel and oil purchased for the event will also be stored in Parc Ferme. All items will be returned to the competitor at the conclusion of each class Finals race.

It is permissible to use practice tires and/or practice fuel for any possible morning practice sessions. If using your Parc Ferme fuel tank, keep it on the kart the night before, informing the gate attendant of your decision. It must be returned empty and dry for the first daily sessions.

As more information becomes available for each race, it will be broadcasted out to each region. Check out http://www.rmaxchallenge.com for registration forms, hotels, and other important info.
