Wallace Returns to Racing at the Pro Level
After two years away from racing (due to father being struck with MS), Jeff Wallace is back. He landed sponsorship from General Petroleum and Havoline to drive for Condor Motorsports in the Toyota Atlantic race at the Long Beach Grand Prix. After several hours of attempting to fit the 6’2” tall Wallace comfortably in the car they finally succeeded. Two days later, he was contacted by Compass360 to drive their BMW Z3 Grand Am at Fontana this weekend and at Laguna Seca at the end of the month. General Petroleum and Havoline have agreed to support him in the two events.
Wallace has loved auto racing since he was just 3 years old. He liked watching his dad race as well as seeing the Champ and GTP cars race. When Wallace was 11 years old, he was given an older Kali Kart from former Indy Car driver Rocky Moran. After attending the Speed Zone Kart Racing School at Adams Kart Track in Riverside, California and several weekends of practice, Jeff started club racing in the Jr. Sportsman class at Tri-C Kart Club at the Adams Kart Track. In his first weekend out, Wallace won the feature race.
The following year, Wallace took the championship in Jr. Sportsman. Since then he has gone on to compete at the regional and national level in the California area racking up several wins in different divisions.
Wallace is currently attending Platt College for computer graphics and animation as well as working with children at O’Neill Elementary School. For more information visit http://www.JeffWallaceRacing.com
