| EKN Trackside: Stars Race of the Americas |

With the opening of the 2005 national championship season only two days away, it’s time to roll out the year’s first edition of our EKN Trackside coverage program. The Stars of Karting Race of the Americas is on tap for this weekend and it is shaping up to be one of THE events of the season. The EKN team will be en route to Norman on Thursday and we’ll be providing full coverage of all the happenings from the Oklahoma Motorsports Complex throughout the weekend.
Kicking off our coverage for the Stars opener is a sneak preview of the provisional entry lists for the two top classes in the program: Intercontinental-A (ICA) and Intercontinental-C (ICC). These categories are the biggies and they will boast two of the best fields seen in the United States since the North American Karting Championships of the late ‘90s, which featured karting legends like Gianluca Beggio and Danilo Rossi, as well as future superstars Jenson Button and Vitantonio Luizzi.
These entry lists were provided by our good friends at the Stars of Karting head office and they represent every driver who had been processed as of mid-morning on Monday. The Stars admin staff has been flooded with entries over the last two months so the fields will undoubtedly be bigger and deeper by the time the first practice session gets underway Friday morning as more last-minute registrations arrive.
The EKN team will be there every step of the way from Friday morning practice until the champagne flies on Sunday afternoon following the final race of the day.
