| Super Kart Illustrated Excellence Awards - Winners Announced |

The Broadway Ballroom at the Peasant Run Convention Center was packed to capacity this evening as the karting community gathered for the sixth annual Super Kart Illustrated Excellence Awards. Publisher Rob Howden emceed the night where winners in six categories were lauded for their efforts during the 2004 season.
With five nominees in each category coming from a fax poll of the SKI readership, the winners of the prestigious awards were announced following a festive cocktail party that was enjoyed by all in attendance. Party-goers enthusiastically discussed the upcoming season while enjoying a slideshow of the ‘04 campaign supplied by the SKI photography staff, including the work of Bill Kistler, Todd McCall, Sebastien Blin and Euro photog Chris Walker. When the show was completed, it was time to announce the big winners.
So, without further adieu, the 2004 Super Kart Illustrated Excellence Award winners are:
Driver of the Year – Alan Sciuto
Team of the Year – Italian Motors
Tuner of the Year – Kimball Williams
Road Racer of the Year – Chris Hegar
Rising Star – Kevin LaCroix
Young Driver of the Year – Cole Whitt
