EKN Trackside - Super Nats 8 - S1 Qualifying Results
There were a handful of drivers who put their name in for the quick time in Formula S1 but when it was all over, Mile High Karting’s Kyle Ray (Maranello) stood above the rest to secure the pole position for Saturday’s heat race. Ray ran in the quicker second session and immediately stormed to the front and with just five laps on his Bridgestone tires, he parked his car and sat on his time.

In Session #1, Kosmic’s Ryan Yop was quick but by the end of the session, Brian Keck (CRG) sat at top the charts awaiting his fate with Ray ready in waiting with the second group. A strong light for the future looks to be Canadian Daniel Morad, who has joined the First Kart team this weekend in his 125cc debut. Morad put his SRA TM-powered First Kart into fifth over in his first-ever 125 qualifying session. Others in the top five included Grand Junction PMT winner Joey Barros (Top Kart) in third while Yop’s time hung in for fourth in the final tally. The top 13 drivers were separated by just a second, presenting yet another tight field.
