| Juliana Chiovitti Looks for November Rebound |
| Article by: - by Jeffrey Franz |
After a disappointing showing at the Superkarts! USA World Finals in Oklahoma, Juliana Chiovitti is determined to right the wrongs of a few weeks ago. And with the CART Stars of Tomorrow and the SKUSA SuperNationals coming up, the opportunities could hardly be better for the nineteen year old Canadian to re-capture the impressive form she showed throughout the 2000 season.
"Everything went wrong in Oklahoma," she told Ekartingnews.com, rolling her eyes at the memory. "We went to the Finals leading the championship, and had problems in every session; I think the carburetor just about fell off in the main! We lost the championship, the prize money that went with it, and had to settle for third in the overall standings."
Juliana was one of many karters to use the last round of the I.K.F. Southwestern Super Series as a primer for the two aforementioned November headline events at the Las Vegas Karting Center. The time was well spent for Chiovitti, as she came home a close second to Birel teammate Josh Schreiber in the 125cc Gearbox race. With her eyes focused upon running the Skip Barber Formula Dodge National Championship in 2001, Juliana has readied herself to excel in the final two marquee karting events of the year. |
