After a solid start to the 2013 Rok Cup USA Season with Florida Karting Championship Series at Orlando, the Rok Cup USA Team learned a lot to ensure parody and standards are met throughout the Categories. As a result, the following Tech Updates will take affect April 1, 2013.
Rok GP Motor Timing:
Timing for the Rok GP Motor, utilized in Rok Junior, Senior, and Master Categories will be spec'ed at 3mm.
Class Weights:
Weights for Rok Junior, Senior, and Master Categories will increase 10-pounds to 330 for Junior, 360 for Senior, and 380 for Master.
Although the Rok Cup program is celebrating its 10th year, with much successful research and testing, it is a never-ending task to see how the newer Rok GP Motors will adapt to the professional USA Market. For these reasons, the program must alter the regulations to meet the needs of the customer in this country. These two changes accomplish this goal.
