| Track News: New Jersey Motorsports Park Roaring to Life with Annual Opening of Finish Line Pub, F1 Karting |

Two of New Jersey Motorsports Park’s premiere attractions are ready to open their doors to the public for the 2013 season, starting with the upcoming weekend.
F1 Karting at New Jersey Motorsports Park, located inside Lightning Raceway, will be open for Saturday and Sunday Arrive-and-Drive sessions from 9:00 a.m. to dusk beginning on March 16th, according to park officials. The sessions, which begin at 15-minute slots, include full race gear and a safety briefing, and can be booked up to three days prior to the scheduled date by calling (856) 327-7213.
Karting participants must be over 14-years-old and at least 5 feet tall.
F1 Karting will extend its hours beginning in April; the full schedule is available on the Park’s website, http://www.njmp.com . As always, the facility is available for private party rental by contacting Krista Dwyer at (856) 327-7240 or Alaina Konschak at (856) 327-7268.
The Finish Line Pub and Restaurant, located at the heart of the Park, will open on Fridays and Saturdays from 4:00pm – 11:00pm beginning on March 15th, through the end of March, when additional hours will be announced.
An improved menu is set to debut at the Pub, including new appetizers and entrees, along with returning fan favorites from seasons past.
Thunderbolt and Lightning Raceways will also be buzzing with activity, as Team Promotion and Schattenbaum Porsche Club of America both have events scheduled.
Several of NJMP’s fan-friendly recurring events are also ready to kick into gear this month. The first Motorless Night, which invites fans to bring their bikes, skates, and strollers on one of the Park’s two road courses, is scheduled for March 21st.
The popular Fourth Friday Cruise Night at the Finish Line Pub returns the next day on Friday, March 22nd.
Friday, April 12th will see the debut of the much-anticipated 2nd Friday Bike Night at the Finish Line Pub.
Like on Cruise Night, participants will have the opportunity to experience a track ride, in addition to the Pub’s Happy Hour, entertainment, and camaraderie.
