| Driver News: Alpinestars Strikes Deal with DeFrancesco |

Supporting top motorsports drivers from around the world, Alpinestars has now added the young and fun loving Devlin DeFrancesco to their list of drivers. Debuting this past weekend at the SuperKarts! USA (SKUSA) SuperNationals, Devlin sported custom Alpinestars gear as he looked to make his sponsors proud in the biggest karting event of 2012. Making the move to the TaG Junior division, Devlin will was outfitted with a full line of Alpinestars gloves, shoes and a custom suit that stood out from his competitors.
"Devlin has really become a magnet for companies looking to portray their products and service around the world to the younger categories of racing," explained Geraldo Rodrigues, President of XYZ Motorsports and XTeam Racing. "He is able to talk to sponsors and promote them trackside as he grows up and becomes more mature. I am confident that he has a bright future ahead of him in the world of motorsports."
"I am happy to be able to join the list of Alpinestars drivers," expressed an excited DeFrancesco. "Alpinestars is linked with several high profile drivers from around the world and it is very cool to see my name on the same list as theirs."
Coming from the recommendation of former Renault F1 Super star Nelson Piquet Jr who has transitioned to NASCAR and is now contending in the Camping World Truck Series with two-wins this season plus an additional win in the NASCAR Nationwide series, Alpinestars and Devlin DeFrancesco became engaged in conversation. With the DeFrancesco Racing pilot competing around the world at some of the premiere karting series, the young driver was ecstatic to learn of his affiliation with one of the most respected companies in motorsports.
Along with the deal from Alpinestars, DeFrancesco also received an invitation this past week to join some of today's motorsports stars in the annual Granja Viana 500 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Racing alongside his idol, DeFrancesco will join Tony Kannan in the prestigious event. More details to come in a future media release.
