| |
TK America, an independent Tony Kart team with long product and factory connections, announces their driver lineup for the SuperKarts! USA 16th annual SuperNats at the Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino. For the November 14th- 18th event the team is set with an all-out effort for wins in 6 classes with 17 drivers. All drivers will be utilizing OTK products of Tony Kart and Kosmic chassis. Verde Speed Resources & TK America will be supplying the team will all support and products as well as any others in need of retail Tony Kart and OTK products.
Three drivers are slated for battle in TaG Sr, Joel Jens, Devin Lindsey, and Marco Tulio. Manitowoc Wisconsin’s, Jens enters the event 5th in SKUSA ProTour points and is looking to continue his streak of impressive finishes in the past two events held earlier in the year. Team Tuner, Tiffin Willareth, will be at the wrenches for Jens. California’s Devin Lindsey is always a threat in the class with a 6th place finish last year in the prestigious event and a great race in the last SKUSA Streets of Landcaster event. Marco Tulio is the third entrant in the class for the TK America effort.
For the prestigious KZ Shifter class three drivers are entered; Ryon Beachner, Arthur Ortolani, and Guilherme Sallas. Laguna Hills California’s Beachner looks to do battle again, as he completed in the class last year. Brazilian’s, Ortolani and Sallas look to battle with some of the world’s best shifter drivers.
Curtis Paul makes the switch from the TaG Jr division to the Junior Shifter class for this year’s SuperNats. Paul hopes to take his SwedeTech prepared mount S5 entry to a great finish. Team Manager, John Gilbert, will assist Paul as he has all year. Having worked with many young Tony Kart drivers thru the years, Gilbert is no beginner to the SuperNats experience.
S4 will have the strongest presence in the TK America tent with 5 drivers competing in this class of 80 entries. Returning competitor Christian Bartz will join Team Principle, Eduardo Martins in switching over to the class from last year’s G1 entries. Martins finished 2nd in G1 and looks to bring the win home in S4. Joining them will be long time FWT entrant Vicki Brian, of Florida, as well as Pedro Serrano and Jorge Borrelli, both of South America.
TaG Masters will be represented by 4 drivers, including Jorge Borrelli, who will be doing double duty over the week. Borelli is making a return back to the Tag Masters class and brings with him Roberto Pasqualini and Fernando Guzzi who also are returning from last year. Making a new appearance will be Munir Aboissa.
TaG junior will be once again have Joao Viera entered. Viera won the event in 2010 and was the fast qualifier in 2011. Looking to bring home the win again, Viera is poised to be a front runner as always.
Support crews play an important role in the week-long event and TK America could not do it without the countless efforts of Sergio Vasquez (equipment manager) Michelle Vasquez (hospitality) David Vasquez (translator) Pete Coberly (TAG engineer) and Neil Hodgson (KZ/S4 engineer.
Several spots are still available for anyone looking to team up with TK America for the event. Any interested parties competing on OTK product that are still in need of pit/tent support should contact John Gilbert at 831-229-7927 or jgincalif@gmail.com Be sure to stop by the tent for any parts and supplies needed for your OTK chassis throughout the event.
