| Team News: KartSport North America Driver, Sera, to Tackle SKUSA SuperNats in Sin City |

Australian karting champion, David Sera, will make his return to the streets of Las Vegas, Nev. at the 2012 SKUSA SuperNats held at the Rio AllSuites Casino on November 16-18. Currently the number two Rotax-ranked driver in the world, Sera will team up with KartSport North America aboard an Australian-made Arrow chassis in the TaG Senior category with 80 competitors entered.
The event will mark only the fourth time Sera has been in a kart this year after moving into the Australian Formula Ford ranks, where he finished in sixth position at Bathurst last month.
“Bathurst was the highlight of my career so far,” said Sera. But in terms of kart races, the SuperNats is the equivalent.”
Having competed at SKUSA SuperNats in 2009 and 2010, the Monster Energy backed driver stunned spectators with his impressive move from 29th position to a second place finish in 2010, missing the win by 0.001 seconds.
“Missing out on the win in 2010 by the barest of margins has me determined to grab the top podium finish this time around,” said Sera. “I’m under no illusion that it’s going to be extremely difficult racing against the best 80 drivers around the world with not a lot of seat time in a kart this year, but I have a strong belief in myself and the KartSport North America team.”
Practice will begin on Wednesday, November 14 with qualifying and races taking place over the weekend. Race results can be found on http://www.ekartingnews.com throughout the weekend.
