Sportsman driver Brandon Lemke wrapped up his regular season schedule at the 2012 RoboPong race in New Castle, IN, in a big way on October 14. The 2012 WKA Manufacturer’s Cup Yamaha Sportsman 2 Champion put on a dominating performance in the 30 lap final to claim the top spot and a check for $5,000.00. With changing weather conditions throughout the weekend Lemke showed a strong pace in each on-track session. The 30 lap final was grueling but would see Brandon drive his Switch Yamaha powered Merlin chassis to a five second victory over second place.
The RoboPong event capped off a stellar season that claimed Lemke a WKA National championship in Yamaha Sportsman 2, a Route 66 class championship in KPV Sportsman as well as 4 WKA Midwest Sprint Series class championships.
With the point season wound down, Brandon has turned his focus to the SKUSA Super Nationals in Las Vegas November 14-18. New to the MINI Rok, Lemke showed well in testing with the package being similar to the KPV power plant.
Brandon Lemke is a Wisconsin driver competing with the Franklin Motorsports team wrapping up his fourth year karting.
