After wrapping up his 2012 World Karting Association (WKA) Manufacturer's Cup campaign a few weeks ago, GT7 Motorsports team driver Anthony Gangi Jr. is set to return to the same New Castle Motorsports Park facility this week. Taking on a much different event, Gangi Jr. will be vying for $5000 in the Yamaha Junior Sportsman Money Race during the annual RoboPong 200 event. The Money Race will see Gangi Jr. on track before 50 plus teams, along with several IZOD IndyCar drivers, battle it out during the gruelling 200-lap RoboPong endurance race.

The Yamaha Junior Sportsman Money Race will see Gangi Jr. put to the test at the 1-mile New Castle facility. Taking in practice October 12, the 2012 US Rotax Grand National Mini Max Champion will start his race for the big money with a three lap, green, white, checkered format during qualifying on Saturday, October 13. Then running a 15-lap prefinal later that same day, Gangi Jr. will then prepare for a 30-lap dash for the $5000 payday on Sunday, October 14, before the start of the RoboPong 200 race.

Battling nearly 30 other drivers during the first annual Yamaha Junior Sportsman Money Race, Gangi Jr. will certainly be one of the favourites heading into the event. The GT7/Tony Kart driver has enjoyed tremendous success in 2012, earning third place in the overall Florida Winter Tour TaG Cadet championship as well as earning his second United States Rotax Grand National title after taking the Mini Max victory in August. Jumping into a Yamaha powered machine for the first time, Gangi Jr.'s sheer talent and determination will make him a viable threat to take the checkers during this Sunday's Money Race.

The GT7 Motorsports Team is proud to be a Tony Kart dealer, Vortex and a Rotax Max Service Center for the US North East.
