Always striving to better themselves and strive for the best results possible, Ocala Gran Prix has claimed 156 podium results in three Florida karting series. Coming off an impressive Florida Winter Tour (FWT) campaign, a dominating Florida Karting Championship Series (FKCS) program and a solid North Florida Rotax Max Challenge (NFRMC), Ocala Gran Prix has claimed over 150 podium results along the way.
"It has been an incredible season," explained Ocala Gran Prix President Jorge Arellano. "Our results speak for themselves and these are just drivers from under our team tent. We will continue to push as a team for the remainder of 2012 and onwards into 2013."
Looking at statistics from previous seasons and trying to figure out the maximum number of podiums achieved by Ocala Gran Prix, a few astounding figures presented themselves. OGP team drivers in the FKCS series attained 103 podium results with another 31 coming from the NFRMC program. Competing against drivers from around the world at the annual Florida Winter Tour, OGP went on to claim 18 podiums, as well as an additional four at the United States Rotax Grand Nationals and a Rotax Pan American Championship, adding up to the best season to date for OGP.
Arellano added, "This has been one of our best seasons to date and with the people that we have in place, I am excited in what the future holds. Improving drivers and helping them advance through the karting ranks with solid results has been one of the goals of my team and we seem to be headed in the right direction."
With four OGP drivers confirmed on Team USA for the Rotax Grand Finals later this year in Portimao, Portugal, Oliver Askew, Ashley Rogero, Cody Hodgson and Bill Lester will be looking to keep the podium tally going at the "Olympics of Karting."
