| Series News: Northeast Shifterkart Series - 2012 Finale Update |

The North East Shifter Kart Series sponsored by Action Kart Racing, Joe White Racing Engines and KartingConnect.com is set to wrap up its 2012 season this October 27, 2012 at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, New Jersey. At stake are championships in two classes which include the KZ and Stock moto class.
In its second year of competition, the North East Shifter Kart Series is enjoying significant growth. Not uncommon throughout the six-round series, the series has seen record breaking fields this season, with well over 25-30+ shifter kart on the grid. With just over two weeks before the FINALE round, teams and drivers have already started early preparation and test days for the upcoming finale race #6 to be held at one of the best karting facilities in the country New Jersey Motorsports Park.
With the championship points battle really tight in the KZ category, current north east region top dog Alex Manglass plans to finish of his season on a high note. Currently the KZ point’s leader, Alex plans to hold of Max DiBella who is currently second and only 10 points behind. Battling out for the 3rd podium spot in the championship will be Mike aka “Rocket” Rivera and Bernard Muminovic. Mike is currently 80 points ahead of Bernard. But Mike and Bernard are still not safe with securing that 3rd place spot. Max’s brother Tyler DiBella who is currently in the 5th spot, is also 80 points behind. It should be very exciting to watch these guys battle it out.
In the steadily growing stock moto class, its game on for our current top three championship point leaders. With all three drives in the 600 points range, the p1 spot can be awarded to any of the three drivers. Our current stock moto leader is Eric Van Der Steur, followed by Dave Edwards in the second spot and Ivan Osorio rounding out your top three stock moto guys.
One of highlights of the Northeast Shifter Kart Series coming up this October 27, 2012 will be the confirmed entry of National and European karting champion Ron White. The California native has been keeping a close eye on the series and was really impressed with the amount of entries and level of competition that he has seen when he was last here on June 9, 2012 for race #3 at F1 Outdoors in Boston, MA. The series has also been in talks with a few folks from Canada. We look forward to race with our special guests.
“From what we have seen this season, the hard work is starting to pay off. The hype and buzz has been building up tremendously and it will continue to grow”. Without any doubts in their minds, the two masterminds behind the series Mike Rivera and Bernard Muminovic have pretty much guaranteed us that this finale race will be one for the books. “Currently we have 35 shifter karts pre-confirmed for this race and I am pretty sure we will see well over 40 entries this time around”, stated Bernard Muminovic as Mike Rivera stood next to him praying for no rain on race day.
About New Jersey Motorsports Park
New Jersey Motorsports Park, or NJMP, is a racing facility located in Millville, New Jersey. The park has two road courses and a high-performance karting facility. In the future, a tri-oval track and off-road course are to be built on the park's property. NJMP hosts amateur and professional automobile and motorcycle events, driving schools, club days, and private test rentals.
