Taking on the international competition of the Pan American Rotax Max Challenge at The Track at Centennial, GT7 Motorsports pilot Dylan Tavella would leave the Micro Max champion. Mastering the 0.8-mile, 21-turn Englewood, Colorado facility, Tavella would take the competition by storm in his GT7/Tony Kart to take the prestigious Micro Max title.

Starting off official competition with qualifying on Friday, Tavella would walk away with the pole position, bettering his fellow drivers by 0.348 seconds. With the coveted inside front row starting position secured for the three-heat race flight format, Tavella would be in good shape heading into the wheel-to-wheel competition.

Back on track Saturday for all three-heat races, Tavella was ready to get racing. After getting hit off track while leading in the first heat, Tavella fought back to a seventh place finish and posted the fastest lap of the race. Powering back in the final two heats, Tavella would go two-for-two, earning both race wins as well as another fast lap honor in heat two. With the heat points calculated, Tavella would line up P2 for the all-important prefinal race.

Completing his Pan Am run on Championship Sunday, Tavella would endure trouble on the start of the ten lap prefinal race. Enduring yet another accident and falling to the tail of the field, the Brookville, New York resident would use his skill and speed to recover to a sixth place finish, all while again earning fast lap honors. A smart final saw the rising talent steadily work his way into the lead, taking over the top spot by lap ten. Taking the race win by 0.193 seconds in a very hard fought race, Tavella would throw his hands in the air to celebrate his Pan Am victory and corresponding title of 2012 Pan American Rotax Max Challenge Micro Max champion.

Tavella would like to thank his coach Bob Radivoy, his data specialist Pete Adams and his engine builder Daniel Lambert.

The GT7 Motorsports Team is proud to be a Tony Kart dealer, Vortex and a Rotax Max Service Center for the US North East.
