| Industry News: Briggs & Stratton 206 Racing Engine Will Debut in the ISR This Winter |
| |
The Briggs & Stratton 206 factory sealed crate racing engine will debut in the ISR (International Snowmobile Racing) as a semi-pro and pro classification in 2012/2013. Engineered exclusively for racing the 206 engine is hand-built and sealed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin using dedicated tools, premium materials and top-tier, single-source vendor components. Each 206 engine is backed by a personalized build sheet and a factory backed rule set the 206 engine to insure a proven, level playing field right from the box. Built off of the ‘Animal’ platform, the 206 race engine works to simplify what it takes for a racer to hit the track, be competitive, and the tech process so that set-up and driver skill is what determines the final outcome.
“The tremendous growth of the 206 race engine over the past 3 years is a result of repeated, proven out-of-the box wins at the highest levels of racing and meeting the needs of families and racers looking for bullet-proof performance at a cost-effective price” Stated David Klaus – Director, Briggs & Stratton Racing. “Dedicated assembly, daily production, combined with the quality, engineering, and manufacturing standards customers have come to expect from Briggs & Stratton is the foundation for our program. We are incredibly excited to be a part of the ISR program and the opportunity to meet new families who share the same passion for racing as we do. Let the snow fly!”
