| Team News: Checkered Motorsports - WKA Manufacturers Cup Series MKP Nationals Preview |

Checkered Motorsports will make their way out to Michiana Raceway Park (MRP) for the MKP Nationals this weekend. The team has seen much success in the previous years at the facility and look to maintain the points lead in the TaG division.
Andrew Bujdoso will be aboard his Woltjer powered Komet Piston Port engine for Komet Piston Port Jr. lite and heavy. The young pilot performed strong in the Great Lakes Sprint Series event and seeks to bring home some podium finishes.
Checkered Motorsports is featuring Zack Busch, Kyle Smith, and Robert Bujdoso in the TaG division. The trio will compete in Leopard, TaG Final 1, and TaG Final 2 aboard their PCR Mxk8’s. This will mark Busch’s first event with the PCR kart. The veterans look to tackle the track and to repeat last year’s victory in TaG Final 1.
Young pilot J.P. Southern Jr. is competing in Yamaha Sportsman, Cadet Sportsman, and Komet Sportsman. Southern Jr. had a strong run in the previous Manufacturers Cup Series event held at Pittsburgh International Raceway Park with a pair podium finishes. He looks to maintain that success in MRP.
The TaG Masters field will have veterans Tom Gerstner and Kim Carapellatti on their PCR Advance. Gerstner and Carrapellatti are no stranger to the MRP circuit and looks to use their racecraft to grab the team a pair of podium finishes.
Checkered Motorsports is attending the Manufacturers Cup Series, Great Lakes Sprint Series, Pitt Race Karting Championship, SKUSA SuperNationals, and selected national events. Arrive and driver opportunities, kart rentals, transportation, and tech support are available for these events. |
