Team News: Team SRA / Birel at ICAR for Quebec Cup and ECKC

This weekend was held the 3rd round of the Quebec Cup (Saturday) and "Eastern Canadian Karting Championship" (Sunday). The team SRA / Birel who was present at Circuit ICAR looked good all weekend.

Rotax Micro-Max, William Chayer collected a superb 2nd place Saturday and a 5th place the day after. Tommy Savard, who finished first Saturday was disqualified due to the displacement of an engine part during the race. His well managed race the very next day, earned him a second place.

Rotax Mini-Max, Natael Cantin was one of the drivers to beat all weekend, with the second fastest time during qualifying on Saturday. Very strong, he gained a 3rd and a 5th place position for Sunday's race. Samuel Lupien always good, finished 3rd Sunday after a heated battle and an exciting pass at the hairpin on the last lap!

In the Rotax Junior 5 team drivers took the start with products SRA / Birel. Jeffrey Kingsley was victorious Saturday and added a second podium the next day with a 3rd place. Olivier Bédard and Nicolas Doré experienced a rather difficult weekend. All weekend, both drivers were fastest on the track, but crashes and mechanical problems, seriously hampered them. Cédrick Lupien, who was also very fast, finished 7th on Saturday. Allan Moreau has meanwhile signed the 11th fastest time in qualifying Saturday.

Regarding the Rotax DD2, we can say that team SRA / Birel has proven the quality of its products, and especially the talent of its drivers! Indeed, Ben Cooper, Christophe Boisclair and Zachary Richard Robichon signed the best times, maintaining them to the final. It is Ben Cooper who won both races followed by teammate Christophe Boisclair. Zacharie, meanwhile, engaged in several skirmishes, demoted him to the end of the pack.
