| Team News: TM Motorsports Earns Another Win This Past Weekend |
| |

 | | Tanner Aman |
Friday night at Southside Speedway was another big night for K1 Race Gear.com sponsored, TM Motorsports drivers Tanner Aman and Trey Williams. While Tanner is still waiting on his future modified car to finish up in production he figured he would get back in the saddle of the 66 winged champ kart for the evening. After a good practice by both Aman and Williams, they were set for the feature event. Aman drew the third starting spot for the main while Williams drew the fifth position in a field of eight.
After a long twenty laps caution free, Aman was able to come home with another win on the 2012 season. Aman has driven karts only a few selected races this year since he was to transition over to a Late Model Modified full time. But Aman has still walked away with 5 wins out of his last 7 races. Will he able to do it next week? Williams on the other hand was able to bring home a solid fifth place finish.
Saturday night at Capital City speedway however was not to be a good night for the third member of TM Motorsports Brett Clark as the "Black Cloud" that has been following him all year long is still hanging around. Clark had the setup right on the kart from the beginning of the day and he was excited to come home with a win he knew he had in the bag...or so he thought. The bad luck kicked from the time he drew his starting spot for the heat race. Granted there was only a four kart field, but with the number he drew (82) would make him start in the last position on the outside.
In the Heat race Clark was able to jump into the third position and stay there for the 10 lap qualifier. The top three were identical in speed and no one was making any moves. Clark would finish third putting him on the inside starting spot for the main. Clark made a few changes to adapt for the main event and they proved to be the right choice in the opening 2 laps. On the start, Clark was literally running over the first place kart getting ready to move into the lead. all of the sudden, the Fuel cap on the fuel tank between Clark's legs, popped off and was splashing fuel all over his legs and arm, this was followed by a loud thud going into turn one and the tank fell onto the floor pan. Clark had thought about picking it up and racing with the tank in his lap to finish the race but the "Black Cloud" had other plans. Going into turn one the tank flew off of the kart and lodged itself between the right side chassis and nerf bar. With fuel spilling out all over the track it splashed under the right rear tire causing Clark to spin and back into the turn two wall, unfortunately ending the night.
Hopefully next week will turn around for TM Motorsports, as they will be bringing on a guest driver from the west coast this coming weekend and should hopefully bring a new amount of talent to the field. There will be more on this later this week.
