| New Mooresville Motorplex Moving Forward in Construction Phase |

The highly anticipated opening of the new Mooresville Motorplex (MMX), a world class karting facility, is still a couple months away but the group launched its website at http://www.mooresvillemotorplex.com . The site was designed and produced by RACERSITES, a renowned motorsports web development company in Davidson.
The site enables visitors to track the construction and development of the facility and provide specifics on garage rentals, corporate outings and karting experiences for novices and veterans alike. The facility is scheduled to open in late summer 2012.
Other elements of the site include:
• Social media channels to follow and interact with events at the complex
• Electronic newsletter subscription to keep abreast of progress updates
• Schedule of facility events
• Ability to purchase a membership account and reserve garages at a discounted, pre-opening rate
“We have put considerable thought and effort into every detail of building out this facility and that includes a website that provides important information in a dynamic way to our future customers,” said Justin Marks, owner of Mooresville Motorplex. “The team at RACERSITES put together a site that captures the excitement of our facility and provides a great landing spot for kart enthusiasts around the region and beyond.”
Mooreseville Motorplex is the first multi-faceted karting facility in the Carolinas providing experiences for all levels of the sport. Once complete, the .70 mile long track will be the most accessible entry point into the world of motorsports in the region and one of the only karting-specific motorsports venues in the southeast.

RACERSITES has been instrumental in the development and enhancement of motorsports websites for more than a decade. Based in Davidson, N.C., RACERSITES’ clients have won multiple Daytona 500s, Indianapolis 500s, and 24 Hours of Daytona, as well as championships in NASCAR, INDYCAR, and GRAND-AM Road Racing.

eKartingNews.com contacted MMX for details on the current construction phase in Mooresville. Construction progress on-site has been moving quickly in recent weeks. The majority of the site work and infrastructure has been completed. Last week alone the MMX parking lot was completely paved, the retaining wall was erected, and the primary building footing was poured and ready for construction.
Additionally, with the help of Italy’s Dromo Applied Circuit Design firm, the final design and simulation phase of the circuit itself has been completed. By the end of this week, the track will be staked and GPS measured for the paving phase. MMX has partnered with Bob Barnard of Motorsport Services International to design, test, and implement a proprietary motorsports-specific asphalt mix and application process.
The next few weeks will be significant in the venue’s development with Prestige Building Company now on-site for the construction of MMX’s garages, retail store, and service area, as well as the new home of KartSport North America.
