| Track News: Hugely Successful Support Meet Has PGP Pumped for Rental Enduro |
| |
Overwhelming. That's the word of the day around PGP, where all of us are still walking on air after last Saturday's ImportMeet.com Support PGP event.
We love what we do, but to get the level of support and encouragement we saw last weekend from all of you makes it that much sweeter! We're as pumped as ever for this Saturday's round of Rental Kart Endurance Racing.
PGP would like to THANK everyone at ImportMeet.com for putting on the Support PGP meet, and we'd like to THANK everyone who came out to participate. By any measure the event was a HUGE success.
With more than 200 cars on display, music, food and more, the paddock was packed with folks enjoying the vibe and sunshine. On track, everyone who took part or watched had a blast with our first-ever Rental Kart Drifting competition.
We also collected hundreds of signatures for the petition to remove the restrictions on racing at PGP.
Didn't get a chance to sign the petition? Copies are still available at the track OR you can sign at the PGP Booth during Grand Opening Weekend of the LeMay-Amerca's Car Museum Friday-Sunday in Tacoma.
Why not kill two birds and sign the petition this weekend when you're at PGP for the Saturday Morning Rental Endurance race? Come alone and race in the Ironman class or grab up to two friends to form a team, but pre-registration for these popular races is strongly encouraged by email, fax or in person, using the forms on our website.
Saturday Morning Enduro events include one practice session and one 90-minute competitive racing session. Karts are assigned by random draw and we'll continue the popular practice of alternating karts after each pit stop for parity. Also, we use ballast weight to ensure everyone is on an even playing field.
Cost per person is based on number of drivers on the team: Three-person team/cost per driver: $50 member, $60 non-member; two-person team/cost per driver: $75 member, $85 non-member; one-person team: $125 member, $135 non-member.
