| |
Battle for a chance to compete for the World Title in Portugal at The Track at Centennial in Colorado, September 20-23. The United States is a hot spot for world-class karting competition, and The Track is excited to be host of this international race. Conveniently located in the Denver Tech Center, this Alan Wilson designed track is 0.8 miles in length with 21 turns and 24 feet in elevation change.
Approximately 67 countries take their best drivers to participate in the Grand Finals; it is being held at one of the most prestigious karting facilities in the world, Kartodromo Internacional Algrave in Portugal. Each driver receives a new, sealed engine and chassis to use during the event, and Rotax drivers have the opportunity to be awarded one of four tickets to this race by competing and winning at the Pan American Championship race held at The Track!
Pan Am is an international event in which any properly licensed citizen from any country may participate. There are four spots available to the Grand Finals for the Pan Am Race and the MAXSpeed Group will award the 1st place driver in the Junior, Senior, DD2 and DD2 Masters with a ticket to 2012 Grand Finals. It is a stand-alone, one race championship event and requires a minimum of six punch races to participate:
- FWT & GCOA counted as one punch for each event weekend
- United States Grand Nationals will count as one punch
- Official RMC race days will count as one punch
The Track at Centennial is currently working on the structure of the event, including race schedule, hotel accommodations, registration, parking, pits, etc. and will keep you abreast of all details as we get them finalized.
Make your way to the Rockies and onto Portugal!
