Devin Boutot takes home the win in Micromax and 5th in Cadet Sportsman. "What a great weekend with a few ups and downs" said Devin. "I'm very happy to come home with a win in Micromax this weekend after having a kart issue in the prefinal at the last FKCS race at Andersen. Having the race cancelled due to rain before the final was a little upsetting but there was nothing I could do. I really wanted to keep my winning streak going, but I was still happy to go home that day 4th. It could have been worse. I was happy to see my friends Nicholas Brueckner and Harry Coulton again at the FKCS this weekend. Running with those guys is great competition and is helping me to improve my driving in order to get ready for the Grand Nationals this year. I always look forward to them coming to the track. My biggest accomplishment this weekend was finishing 5th in Cadet after my engine blew in the prefinal. I was determined to drive forward from the back to save my points. Its been a tough year in this class. We have not had much luck on our side, but Im still 3rd in points and I'll have to just hope for a great finish in Jacksonville."
"I also want to say great job to Andre Martins and what he did with the track. I think it was awesome. Smooth and lots of passing."
Saturday MicroMax Recap: Devin qualified 3rd in the morning. After a few mechanical adjustments Devin was able to show a little muscle and come out on top in the prefinal. In the final Devin was shuffled back to 5th in turn 1. Keeping his cool Devin patiently worked his way back and was able to finish with the win.
Sunday Cadet Sportsman Recap: After qualifying 6th in Cadet he was able to work his way to 3rd ready to battle for the lead in the Prefinal. After setting fast time with 3 laps to go, Devin broke and pulled off the track. In the final Devin started in the rear and moved his way forward one at a time. By the end of the race he was able to salvage the day with a 5th place finish.
